my.socialmedia is a hub for everything you publish — one page carrying all your links, at one address people can say out loud and type from memory. It is built by internet.Best alongside its application for .socialmedia, a proposed top-level domain. The site you are reading is a concept site: .socialmedia was applied for in the ICANN 2026 new gTLD round and is not delegated, so nothing described here is on sale and no name is registrable yet.
What is a .socialmedia address?
It is a domain name whose extension — the part after the last dot — is the words "social media". yourname.socialmedia would be a domain you register and hold, the same way a .com is: renewable on your terms, transferable between providers, and independent of any single app. .socialmedia is an application filed in the ICANN 2026 round; it has not been delegated, so no such address exists yet.
Can I register a .socialmedia domain today?
No. .socialmedia is an application filed in the ICANN 2026 new gTLD round and has not been delegated, which means there is no registry to sell names and nothing to buy. What you can do today is join the waiting list, which costs nothing and registers nothing.
What does joining the waiting list actually do?
It records who you are and which plan you want, so you are on the list the day the namespace opens. It is not a registration, not a reservation, and not a payment — no .socialmedia name can be held for anyone before delegation, and any service claiming otherwise is selling something it cannot deliver.
Who is behind my.socialmedia?
internet.Best, an ICANN-accredited domain registry that has operated the .Best top-level domain since 2018. The site is published by PREMLEAD SAS, the company behind internet.Best, whose full details are on the Terms and Privacy pages of this mini-site.
Are the hubs shown on this site real accounts?
No. Amara, Sofia and the other hubs across the site are illustrations of what a hub would look like. They are not live accounts, they hold no real followers, and pressing Super Follow on one does not create a relationship with anybody — the state changes on the page and nothing leaves your browser.
Your hub
What is a hub?
A hub is your page: your name, what you do, and every link that matters — shop, channels, bookings, press, whatever you publish — in one place, at one address. It replaces the handful of profile URLs on domains you do not control that a link-in-bio page normally holds together on yet another domain you do not control.
How do I build one?
You describe it. Write a sentence or two about who you are and what you want on the page — "a fashion creator hub for daily outfits, the edit and where to buy each piece" — and the hub is generated from it: layout, sections and links. You can then edit anything it produced.
Do I need a .socialmedia domain to have a hub?
No. The free plan gives you a hub at my.socialmedia/yourname, with unlimited links and the Super Follow button, and it is free forever. A .socialmedia domain of your own — yourname.socialmedia, with my.socialmedia branding removed — comes with the Pro plan, once the namespace is delegated.
Can I change how my hub looks?
Yes. Custom themes and colours come with Pro. Premium adds enhanced content, fonts and layouts. The free plan uses the standard design.
What happens to my links if I leave?
The point of the address is that it is yours: a registered domain is transferable between providers, inheritable and sellable, and moving it does not depend on us agreeing. That is the difference between an address you hold and a handle you are lent. Concrete terms — pricing, renewals and what happens to a hub on a lapsed plan — will be published before anything goes on sale, because nothing is on sale today.
Super Follow
What is a Super Follow?
Super Follow is the one action a visitor takes on your hub. Instead of following an account inside a platform, the follow is held against your address — yourname.socialmedia — so the audience travels with the name rather than with whichever app it was collected in.
How is that different from following me on a platform?
A platform follow is a row in someone else's database. It stops working when the platform declines, changes its algorithm, changes its rules or changes hands, and it cannot move to another app with you. A Super Follow is attached to a domain you own, so it survives all of that — and from Pro you can export the list of who is on it.
Does a visitor need an account to Super Follow me?
Pressing Super Follow is one tap on your hub: no app to install, and no algorithm deciding whether it counts. What they receive from you afterwards arrives in their super box.
What is the super box?
The super box is the mailbox every my.socialmedia account has. Anything you send your Super Followers arrives there rather than in an ordinary inbox, so no mail provider stands between you and the person who chose to follow you.
Can I write to my Super Followers?
Yes, on Premium. You write from your hub and it arrives in each Super Follower's super box. Premium also covers the private message that goes out automatically the moment somebody follows — a promo code, a discount, a secret link, or simply a welcome.
Can I keep some content for Super Followers only?
Yes. Private links for Super Followers come with Pro: a row on your hub stays shut until a visitor Super Follows, and opens for them when they do.
Do I own my follower list?
From Pro, your follower list is yours to export. Premium adds advanced click and follower statistics on top of the first-party click analytics Pro includes.
Plans and pricing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Start free is free forever: a hub at my.socialmedia/yourname, built in one prompt, with unlimited links and the Super Follow button on it.
What do the paid plans cost?
Pro is free for the first year for .socialmedia domain owners, or €2/month billed annually. Premium is €10/month billed annually. These are indicative prices for a namespace that is not delegated: final pricing will be published before any launch, and nothing is on sale today.
Do you take a cut of what I earn?
No. There are no per-click fees and no revenue share. What you make through the links on your hub is yours.
Is Super Follow only on the paid plans?
No — the Super Follow button is on every plan, the free one included. What the paid plans add is what you can do with the followers it collects: private links and an exportable list on Pro, messages and deeper statistics on Premium.
The .socialmedia application
Where does the application stand?
The ICANN application window closed on 12 August 2026 — the first one in fourteen years — with our application for .socialmedia filed. Ahead of it are string similarity review, technical and financial evaluation, the objection periods, and the contention procedure where several parties applied for the same or a confusingly similar string. All of that runs on ICANN's process and ICANN's schedule.
When will .socialmedia be registrable?
We do not know, and anyone who tells you they know their delegation date is guessing. We publish progress as it happens rather than forecasting it.
Why a new top-level domain rather than another links page?
Because a link-in-bio service puts your canonical address back on somebody else's domain, which reproduces the original problem one level down. A domain is the one identifier on the internet you can actually hold. What was missing was not the technology — it was a namespace that says, in words people already use, what the thing is for.
